True wellness isn’t about chasing symptoms—it’s about understanding the internal communication systems that allow the body to repair, adapt, and thrive. In this episode, Dr. Greg Jones is joined by Dr. Kathleen O’Neil-Smith, a Harvard-trained physician and pioneer in peptide therapy, to explore how peptides, mitochondria, and personalized medicine work together to support resilient, long-term health.

As a founding board member of the International Peptide Society, Dr. Kathleen explains how small signaling proteins orchestrate large-scale healing by influencing cellular communication, inflammation, metabolic efficiency, and recovery. The conversation highlights why mitochondrial health sits at the foundation of longevity and how modern medicine often overlooks the body’s innate capacity to heal.

Moving beyond trends and surface-level protocols, Dr. Kathleen shares how peptide therapy integrates with hormones, gut health, nervous system balance, and lifestyle to create durable clinical outcomes. They also discuss why one-size-fits-all medicine consistently fails patients, and how clinicians can think more strategically about restoring resilience rather than suppressing symptoms.
